    Thanks again for the press!

  5. Dear all,

i was glad to find such a site our if i can say a community on the web, as am an architect and an animal fanatic.
i never expected that there is a place where i enjoy both of them together. i even sometimes felt that i need to leave architecture and study and work in the field of zoology to satisfy the great urge and passion in me.
recently i passed through a very rough experience and me and my wife suffered a great loss and since then am more determine to change my life to be serving a good cause and i found you.

am asking you and everyone on site to guide me how can i participate or be part of something helping and supporting this cause? where can i learn and enhance my abilities and passion to do something positive? am from Egypt but am willing to relocate with my wife who share the same passion with me to work and be part of such teams and communities. we are willing to learn and help giving all our time and effort for such cause.

    thank you everyone

    regards

  6. Hi,
I was browsing bldgblog.com when I came across your website. I am currently a masters student at the National University of Singapore, Department of Architecture. Last semester in my 4th year I did a project that is related to the theme of animal influenced architecture. The title of the project is ‘Consuming nature in its entirety’.

The animal that was involved is the humble hummingbird. As hummingbirds are the only birds that can pollinate the heliconia species of plants, they will be the main attraction of the heliconia farm that is the main program. The design is a postulated extension of the Singapore Jurong Birdpark and it makes use of the hummingbirds pollinating the plants in the farm as a kind of attraction. This project is an example of how animals can influence not only how architecture will appear as but also question the idea of architecture itself. Therefore, I would really like to share this project on this website, if the webmaster is interested that is. I look forward to your email! Thank you!
