I was recently at Adelaide Zoo and was indeed impressed by the entrance. However was somewhat disappointed by the panda exhibit - its main attraction. Though I have to admit it was more disappointment in the way the "event" of the pandas were presented rather than any disappointment in the design. The way the entrance to the exhibit was ticketed at 30min intervals was at the detriment of the immersive landscape and winding path that the designers had created to set the scene. When you've been in a line for 30min you just want to get to the main attraction - needless to say children were getting very restless. It was also obvious that certain elements weren't of the designers creation. Most bizarre was the panda foetus that had been encased in resin and stuck to the top of a plinth at the exit....
